Mount a stylish rod on the wall to hang clothes, or install a hook to hang a laundry bag or canvas bag full of toys. Pegboard is another great way to organize all sorts of baby necessities. You can also use the walls to store all those stuffed animals your little one will inevitably collect. Buy a net (or two!) to hang in the corner to keep your baby’s teddies and dolls cozy and contained.
Having a small wall lamp will allow you to make the room dimmer when you don’t want the overhead light on. And there are lots of wall lamps that are stylish and will fit with just about any decor. You may also want to consider installing blackout curtains. They won’t take up any extra room and can make a big difference when you’re putting your baby to bed before the sun has gone down!
Taking the sides from your crib you can now safely harbor other precious items from home. Hanging from your laundry room with chain at all four corners you have a stationary drying rack. This is a place for your bamboo and wire hangers to call home as they bear the weight of fresh-ironed uniforms. Secure vertically on your wall in your craft room with enough distance between wall and the spokes and you have a great place to hang baskets, or your inspirational magazine collection. Simple, and with a little paint you can easily adjust the color to match the rest of your décor.
A round crib can be placed at the center of the room and hence effectively does away with the boring dull corners. This gives your kid an airy and spacious setting, while leaving the walls and the corner space open for shelving and storage options.
